11 trainees received the Kırâat-i Aşere Diploma at MAKÜ

Another important training program aimed at the science of recitation of the Qur'an has been completed in Burdur. The program started with the recitation of the Qur'an by Qurra Hafız Yunus Emre Çelik. A graduation ceremony was held for 11 trainees who successfully completed the Kırâat-i Aşere training, which was conducted for two years within the Faculty of Theology of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

 

During the program held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Theology of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, diplomas were presented to the graduates, and the importance of serving the Qur'an and the spiritual value of the science of recitation were emphasized.

 

In his opening speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Yasin Pişgin, stated that the Kırâat-i Aşere education is not only a professional gain but also an important part of the responsibility to serve the Qur'an.

 

Dean Pişgin noted that the recitations of the Qur'an are a great scientific heritage that has reached us from our Prophet to the present day, and he emphasized the great importance of preserving different modes of recitation and passing them on to future generations. He mentioned that the education equips students to be more competent in religious service areas, emphasizing that the main goal is to serve the word of Allah.

 

In his speech, Dean Pişgin also referred to the hadith of our Prophet, which compares people to three types of soil based on their attitudes towards the Qur'an, expressing that those who understand the Qur'an and bring it into their lives and benefit their surroundings are like fertile soil. He thanked the academics, religious officials, and supporting institutions who contributed to the realization of the program.

 

Mehmet Atay, the Deputy Provincial Mufti, who spoke at the ceremony, drew attention to the effect of Qur'an recitation on the human soul. Atay stated that they witnessed the peaceful atmosphere that arises when the Qur'an is recited, especially in programs conducted with children, and said that beautiful recitation is a strong invitation that touches hearts.

 

Atay expressed that religious officials who receive recitation training will undertake important services in society and congratulated all the teachers and stakeholders who contributed to the educational process.

 

Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, the Rector of MAKÜ, who spoke at the program, also stated that theology students should stand out not only with academic knowledge but also with representation ability and moral stance.

 

Rector Dalgar noted that young graduates will undertake important duties that will contribute to the national and spiritual values of the country and advised students to trust themselves and the education they received.

 

After the speeches, graduation diplomas were awarded to the 11 trainees who successfully completed the two-year Kırâat-i Aşere training program.
